The Direct Assistance Program (DAP)
The Direct Assistance Program is WACM's most important program. It is clearly an important ministry in our community. The purpose of this program is to provide a process through which clients in need may seek emergency financial aid. Funds are provided to help cover the costs of food, clothes, transportation, medicine, and utilities. A Coordinator, Patrice Braun, is required to run the program according to the policies and rules outlined in the DAP Procedure Manual. DAP is operated by volunteers and it is important that member organizations provide willing people to do this critical work.
In the last fiscal year, DAP provided $45,282.02 to help the needy in Woodstock and Wonder Lake. $24,740 in food, $10,025 in clothing, $524 in utilities, $8480 in gasoline, $1444 in bus passes, $427 in medical expenses.
We are currently looking for a few volunteers to work on Thursdays from 12-3. If you are interested, please email
The DAP office is currently open on the first and third Thursdays from 12 - 3 pm and is located at
Grace Lutheran Church, 1300 Kishwaukee Valley Road, Woodstock IL 60098.
